The High-visibility stab-proof vest Orion Elite is the advanced evolution of the Orion Professional and is designed for professional users who require not only high visibility but also enhanced climate management and material performance. It provides identical certified protection performance compared to the Professional version – with noticeably optimized wearing comfort.

As a robust outer-wear vest, the High-visibility stab-proof vest Orion Elite is particularly suitable for operations in traffic-related, public, or complex working environments. The combination of large-area stab protection and high visibility enhances the safety of personnel in sectors such as railway security, private security services and emergency response.

The key difference compared to the Professional version lies in the improved moisture and heat management of the protection panels. A patent-pending process significantly increases breathability, effectively reducing heat and moisture buildup during physical exertion or extended operations.

The textile base structure has also been enhanced. Instead of staple-fiber aramid fabric, high-strength Cordura®-like filament yarns are used. These improve structural stability, increase long-term durability under mechanical stress, and support optimized air and moisture permeability.

The protection plates continue to consist of a multi-layer carbon fiber–epoxy resin laminate permanently bonded to the textile carrier material. The proven overlapping scale structure ensures high flexibility while providing large-area protection coverage. The construction reliably protects against knives, needles, screwdrivers and other pointed objects, as well as against blunt force impacts such as punches or kicks.

The high-visibility carrier made of 100% polyester is constructed as a breathable spacer or mesh fabric. Neon yellow material and circumferential reflective strips ensure excellent visibility during daytime, low-light conditions and nighttime operations.

Depending on size, the Orion Elite weighs approximately 2.1 kg to 3.4 kg. The protection coverage includes large areas of the chest, abdomen, flanks and back and can be extended with optional side protection.

Multiple pockets and hook-and-loop areas allow secure mounting of radios, body cameras, identification badges or other markings. A generous rear pocket provides additional storage capacity. The protection panels are removable, allowing the carrier platform to be cleaned separately.

The protection panels are manufactured in Remscheid – Made in Germany – and are certified according to VPAM KDIW 2004 – Level K1.

The protection panels can be installed in different carrier platforms, including the high-visibility stab-proof vest Orion for maximum visibility, the stab-proof covert vest Herkules for discreet wear, and the tactical stab-proof vest Thor as a robust outer-wear option with additional equipment storage.

With just one set of protection panels, users can flexibly switch between high-visibility, covert, and tactical configurations. This enables optimal adaptation to different operational scenarios while reducing procurement costs and increasing operational flexibility in professional use.
