The tactical stab-proof vest Thor Elite is the performance-enhanced version of the Thor Professional and is designed for professional users who, in addition to certified protection performance, place particular emphasis on advanced climate management and optimized material performance. It provides identical certified protection performance compared to the Professional version – with noticeably improved wearing comfort during daily operations.

As a robust tactical overt vest, the Thor Elite combines large-area stab protection with modular equipment options and an ergonomic fit for demanding operational conditions.

The key difference compared to the Professional version lies in the improved moisture and heat management of the protection panels. Through a patent-pending process, significantly enhanced breathability is achieved, effectively reducing heat and moisture buildup during physical exertion or extended wear.

The textile base structure has also been further developed. Instead of staple-fiber aramid fabric, high-strength Cordura®-like filament yarns are used. These increase structural stability, improve long-term durability under mechanical stress, and support optimized air and moisture permeability.

The protection plates continue to consist of a multi-layer carbon fiber–epoxy resin laminate permanently bonded to the textile carrier material. The proven overlapping scale structure ensures high flexibility while providing large-area protection coverage and reliable protection against knives, needles, screwdrivers and other pointed objects, as well as resistance against blunt force impacts.

A distinctive feature is the continuous protection zone in the front area: despite the front zipper, the chest and abdominal region remain fully protected without interruption. Adjustable side fastenings allow individual fitting and ensure a secure and stable fit.

The durable outer carrier made of 100% polyester is constructed as a breathable mesh fabric. Generous hook-and-loop areas and modular attachment options allow secure mounting of equipment, identification or patches. Reflective elements further enhance visibility in low-light conditions.

Depending on size, the weight ranges from approximately 2.2 kg to 3.2 kg. The protection panels are removable, allowing the carrier platform to be cleaned separately.

The protection panels are manufactured in Remscheid (Made in Germany) and are certified according to VPAM KDIW 2004 – Level K1.

Modular system

The tactical stab-proof vest Thor Elite is part of a modular carrier system. The protection panels can be installed in different carrier platforms: the tactical stab-proof vest Thor as a robust outer-wear option with additional storage capacity, the high-visibility stab-proof vest Orion for maximum visibility and the stab-proof covert vest Herkules for discreet under-clothing wear.

With just one set of protection panels, users can flexibly switch between high-visibility, covert and tactical configurations. This enables optimal adaptation to different operational scenarios, reduces procurement costs and increases operational flexibility in professional use.
