For the Classic series, we use a lighter and more flexible material that repels most attacks. The material used in the Professional series is even stronger, certified, and also offers excellent protection against heavy blows.

Depending on the situation. We recommend the Classic series for low risk situations and long wearing times. For higher risk situations, the Professional series offers even greater protection.
Are the vests also cut-resistant?

No. Bulletproof is based on a completely different principle.
Is bulletproof better?

Why is the protection area larger?
Rigid vests need to be cut short to prevent them from riding up when sitting. In contrast, our vests flex and fold naturally when seated, ensuring a perfect fit and optimal comfort.
Why are the vests breathable?
The panels overlap in a way that allows air to flow through. The generous overlap ensures that knives cannot get through.
How can a flexible protection panel also be impact-resistant?
The unique design of the Professional series panels allows flexibility in one direction for comfort and body fit, while remaining rigid in the other direction to effectively absorb and deflect impacts.

Do the individual protection plates overlap?

Can I make my own stab protection from the samples?
No. The samples are only designed for testing on dummies. Full protection is only achieved through our special overall design.
How do I test Armadillo Tex samples for stab protection?
Our samples can be ordered to test the stab protection yourself. For testing, place the sample on a soft surface. A boxing dummy works well, or a 5 cm-high stack of old clothes. Always prioritize safety. It’s best to wear cut-proof sleeves to avoid injury. NEVER test on people. The protective area of the samples is far too small for that.
How can I get the 40 % subsidy?
It is best to check with the VBG beforehand whether you are eligible. Then simply submit our invoice and receive a 40 % refund.
I have seen other certified vests that are cheaper. Are they just as good?
Often not. Most cheaper options use metal plates or Kevlar. Metal plates are heavy and uncomfortable. Kevlar is also soft and relatively flexible, but not breathable and usually not safe against sharp knives or needles. We use carbon, which combines safety and flexibility, but also comes at a price.
How long do the vests last?
We guarantee a lifespan of at least 5 years from the date of purchase.
Can I wash the vests?
Yes, the panels can be removed from all our products. The carrier can then be washed on a gentle cycle. You can find a video instruction on our website.
What happens if the carrier cover of a vest is damaged?
The carriers can be purchased separately.
